Why Your Pets and Visiting Birds Enjoy Water Features

Outdoor water features and bird feeders are a natural way to draw in wildlife and pets. Birds need to have water to drink, bathe in, as well a place to groom, or preen. There are some birds, such as robins, thrushes, orioles, or warblers, which are not attracted to bird feeders, but are drawn to fountains because of the moving water. Birds are often drawn to outdoor fountains because of their flowing water rather than the standing water found in bowl-shaped bird baths. Trickling fountains which splash water have a more detectable sound, this attracting even more birds. twf038-ei__38714.jpg

As dog owners will concur these outdoor fountains are a great water source for the four-legged creatures. During hot months of summer, cats and dogs will be outside searching for the absolute freshest water around. Because water in fountains is consistently moving, they do not need much maintenance, whereas the still water of birdbaths collect debris and require more attention.

The Myriad Ways You Can Profit from Fountains

There are countless advantages to be gained from outdoor fountains including improved air quality as well as wonderful sounds and sights. Along with the many health benefits they provide, they also create an environment which your friends and family will appreciate. That said, once you install your fountain you will likely notice the myriad benefits it gives only you. It could remind you of a treasured vacation experience from your past. When you look at it, you may think back to a special someone you once knew.

It could also be turned into a memorial to honor someone already passed. Whatever it contributes to your life, you will no doubt enjoy it for many years to come.

The Famed Revelation Waterworks at the Gardens of Chatsworth

“Revelation,” the latest addition to the decorative outdoor fountains of Chatsworth, was designed by well-known British sculptor Angela Conner. She was commissioned by the deceased 11th Duke of Devonshire to produce a limited edition bust of Queen Elizabeth, in 2004/5 in commemoration of the Queen’s 80th birthday celebration. In 1999 Revelation was set up in Jack Pond, one of Chatsworth’s oldest ponds. The four large steel petals close and open with the movement of water, alternately concealing and showing a golden globe at the sculpture’s center.

Standing five meters high and five meters wide, the globe was crafted from steel and then coated with gold dust. This newest water fountain is an intriguing and interesting addition to the Chatsworth Gardens, unique in that the motion of the petals is entirely powered by water.

How Fountains can be Good for the Environment

Are you looking for the perfect piece to enhance your home? Solar fountains might be the answer - they are a perfect add-on to any home because they embellish the design and raise the price of your home.

They are the same as electric fountains in that they help with one's overall well-being but they also offer financial benefits. Despite the high initial price, costs associated with these fountains are worthwhile. Because your fountain will not be powered by electrical energy, there will be no need to be concerned about any power outages.

Running water fountains means that your use of electricity will increase and thus your monthly bill. Although short-term expenses might be higher than you had predicted, don't forget that your home is increasing in value.

The increased expenses resulting from using more electricity is not the only factor, it also harms our eco-system. Becoming “green” is just one of the advantages of setting up a solar water fountain running only on the energy of the sun. The eco-system can only benefit from the use of solar powered homes and water fountains.

This type of fountain needs less maintenance than others. Since solar fountains don't have motors, they don't get clogged which leads to less cleaning. And because there is little cleaning to do, you will have more time to play!
